Music is an important part of the worshiping life of FPC. We are led in song each Sunday by the Chancel Choir, which is open to 10th grade students through adults. They practice each Wednesday evening from 7:30-8:30pm. In addition to their leadership on Sunday mornings, the Chancel Choir also shares their gifts with us for special performances throughout the year including Christmas Eve, a Tenebrae service during Holy Week, a Christmas Cantata during Advent, and Easter Sunday. They are accompanied by members of the Albany Symphony Orchestra for the Cantata and Easter Sunday. The choir is lead by our Director of Music, Doug Hall, and our accompanist Tom Whiddon.
The children's choir is open to 2nd-5th graders. They learn music skills and sing a variety of songs. The children's choir meets on Wednesday afternoons at 5:30pm under the direction of Mrs. Charlotte Cook.
